Bell's inequality: physics meets probability theory

主講人: Andrei Khrennikov 教授(International center for mathematical modeling in physics, engineering and cognitive science, University of Vaxjo,Sweden)

时  间: 2009年5月5日(星期二)下昼3:00-5:00

地  点: 數學科學學院 412 报告厅

主  办: 數學科學學院

介  绍: The aim of this talk is to show that Bell's argument is not totally justified. We recall that Bell claimed that any attempt to go BEYOND QM  should imply nonlocality. We show that nonlocality is only a SUFFICIENT condition for violation of Bell's inequality. One can find other various conditions implying violation of Bell's inequality. We shall consider Bell's inequality as just one special test of Kolmogorovianity, i.e., a possibility to describe experimental data by a SINGLE  Kolmogorov probability space. Aa other possible conditions implying non-Kolmogorovianity we mention inefficiency of detectors or more generally unfair sampling and contextuality in the form of dependence on parameters of measurement devices.
