On Zeros of Some polynomials of Graphs

摘 要： Both chromatic polynomials and flow polynomials of graphs are special cases of multivariate Tutte polynomials. Multivariate Tutte polynomial of a graph was developed from partition function of q-state Potts Model. Statistical physicists are interested in complex roots of Multivariate Tutte polynomial because a phase transition in a physical system can only occur at a real limit point of the complex zeros of this function. So the study of these polynomials has attracted the attention of researchers from both Mathematics and Statistical mechanics. In this talk I will survey the current state of the study of locations of zeros of these polynomials. I will also present some important results and some open problems.
